Background

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the unprecedented nature of the threat led national authorities to adopt response strategies that were less than optimal. Flawed responses were also attributable to gaps and ambiguities in existing legal frameworks.

Goal

The ‘Health Emergencies and Legal Preparedness: Global, Regional and National Approaches’ (HELP) project addresses the following research question: how can Legal Preparedness enhance policies and activities to prevent and address health emergencies?

Project

The HELP project has been selected as a Research Project of Significant National Interest by the Italian Ministry of University and Research. It is based on the collaboration between Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies and the University of Bologna.
